Who we are

Founder and CEO Elisabeth Schneider, LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the field.  My degree in Marriage and Family Therapy equips me to understand not only the complexities of individual conflict and pain, but also that of relational struggle.  My passion is to help individuals and couples cope and grow even as they are faced with unexpected, painful challenges or as they seek to thrive through transition and change.

My background is multi-dimensional and interdisciplinary.  In addition to my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I am a Certified Becoming You Practitioner through NYU Stern | Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing and I am in the process of completing the Upbuild Coaching Training program (expected ICF ACC certification in mid 2026).

I have extensive experience teaching and training others in best practices in perinatal bereavement, child loss and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

My experience working in finance in the early part of my career allows me to bring a understanding and clarity to coaching in the corporate world.

Recently, I completed the Harvard Medical School Palliative Care Education Program, enhancing my ability to support families who go through the loss of a child after a medical complex diagnosis. This unique experience has its own challenges and requires an informed practitioner who can guide the family through acknowledging, celebrating the life of and mourning their child.

I completed my graduate degree at Fuller Theological Seminary choosing the program because of its fundamental belief that the spiritual and emotional are deeply tied together and building a healthy, balanced life requires giving attention to all parts of the individual.

Prior to working in this field, I spent six years in finance working both in Investment Banking and in Venture Capital.  My undergraduate degree is from Georgetown University, where I graduated Cum Laude.

I have been awarded the Compassionate Care Award by Hope After Loss (2025) and the CT Healthcare Hero Award for my work supporting families going through perinatal challenges (2023).
